Donald Allen Wollheim was an American science fiction editor, publisher, writer, and fan. Born in 1914, he became a founding member of the Futurians, a group that played a significant role in shaping science fiction culture and fandom in the United States. As an author, Wollheim published under his own name as well as under several pseudonyms, including David Grinnell, Martin Pearson, and Darrell G. Raynor. His work spanned multiple roles within the science fiction industry, allowing him to influence the field from various angles. Wollheim is particularly remembered for his editorial work at Ace Books during the mid-1960s. Ursula K.
