Hayden Lesley Panettiere was an American actress and singer who began her entertainment career remarkably early. She first appeared on screen at just 11 months old in a 1990 commercial, and by age five had already appeared in more than 50 commercials. Her early television work included significant roles in two soap operas. She played Sarah Roberts in One Life to Live from 1994 to 1997, and Lizzie Spaulding in Guiding Light from 1996 to 2000. These roles established her as a working young performer in television. Panettiere gained wider recognition for her voice acting work. She earned a Young Artist Award nomination for voicing Princess Dot in the Pixar film A Bug's Life in 1998. She went on to earn a Grammy nomination for her spoken word performance on the A Bug's Life Read-Along album, becoming the sixth-youngest nominee for that award.
