Jo Boaler is a British education author and Nomellini–Olivier Professor of Education at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. She is known for her work promoting reform mathematics and writing about equity in mathematics education. Boaler cofounded youcubed, a Stanford research center that provides mathematics education resources for teachers, students, and parents. She has also cofounded a company that develops a math game app. Through these ventures, she has worked to make mathematics education more accessible and engaging. Boaler has authored, co-authored, or edited eighteen mathematics books. Her published works include What's Math Got To Do With It?, The Elephant in the Classroom, Mathematical Mindsets, Limitless Mind, and Math-ish.
