Joel Greenblatt is an American investor, hedge fund manager, academic, and writer known for his work in value investing. He is an alumnus of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and serves as an adjunct professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. Greenblatt runs Gotham Asset Management, which he operates with his partner Robert Goldstein. He has held several leadership positions in finance and business, including serving as former chairman of the board of Alliant Techsystems from 1994 to 1995. He also founded the New York Securities Auction Corporation.
