Jon Ronson

Jon Ronson is a British-American journalist, author, and filmmaker born in Cardiff, Wales in 1967. He has built a career investigating unusual and often controversial subjects, bringing narrative journalism and dark humor to his explorations of fringe movements and unconventional ideas. Ronson's notable works include Them: Adventures with Extremists, published in 2001, which examined various extremist groups and movements. He followed this with The Men Who Stare at Goats in 2004, exploring the U.S. military's interest in paranormal and unconventional warfare techniques. His 2011 book The Psychopath Test investigated the nature of psychopathy and its diagnosis, combining personal narrative with broader psychological inquiry. Through his journalism, books, and filmmaking, Ronson has developed a distinctive approach to reporting that combines investigative rigor with accessible storytelling, often focusing on the margins of society and the people and institutions operating there.
