Julián Delgado Lopera is a queer Colombian writer and performer born in Bogotá in 1988. He is best known for ¡Cuéntamelo!, an illustrated collection that documents queer immigrant histories in the United States during the 1980s. Delgado Lopera employs multiple creative forms in his work, including writing, queer literary performance, and bilingual poetry. These varied artistic approaches serve his broader commitment to LGBT activism, with much of his work focused on communities across the Bay Area. Since 2015, Delgado Lopera has served as Executive and Artistic Director for Radar Productions, a nonprofit organization through which he continues to develop and support creative projects.
