Justin Samuel Halpern is an American author born in San Diego, California. He gained initial recognition through a Twitter feed called "Shit My Dad Says," which documented humorous and irreverent quotes from his father. The feed's popularity led to the publication of a best-selling book with the same title (stylized as "Sh*t My Dad Says"), which became a cultural phenomenon. Halpern served as co-writer and co-executive producer on a CBS television sitcom adaptation of his book. He continued his writing career with a second book, "I Suck at Girls," published in 2012. This work was later adapted into the 2014 television series "Surviving Jack," in which Halpern was involved as a creator.
