Katrina Kenison

Katrina Kenison is an American author known for her literary memoirs and nonfiction works that examine parenting, life stages, mindfulness, and simplicity. She is a graduate of Smith College and currently lives in New Hampshire with her husband, Steven Lewers, and is the mother of two grown sons. Kenison's first book, Mitten Strings for God: Reflections for Mothers in a Hurry, was published in 2000. In 2009, she published The Gift of an Ordinary Day: A Mother's Memoir, which explores the challenges and rewards of parenting adolescents. Her memoir Magical Journey: An Apprenticeship in Contentment followed in January 2013, presenting a personal account of the losses and lessons of the second half of life. Beyond her solo work, Kenison co-authored Meditations from the Mat: Daily Reflections on the Path of Yoga with Rolf Gates. In addition to her writing, she is a yoga instructor and a Reiki practitioner.
