Kaveh Akbar is an Iranian-American poet, novelist, and editor. He was born on January 15, 1989 in Tehran, Iran. Akbar is the author of the poetry collections Calling a Wolf a Wolf and Pilgrim Bell, as well as the novel Martyr!, which was a New York Times bestseller and National Book Award finalist.
