Maj Sjöwall

Maj Sjöwall was a Swedish author and translator born in Stockholm in 1935. She is best known for her novels featuring the police detective Martin Beck, which she wrote in collaborative work with her partner Per Wahlöö. These detective novels became influential works in crime fiction. Sjöwall died in Landskrona in 2020.
