Mark William Latham is an Australian politician and media commentator. He served as leader of the Australian Labor Party and leader of the opposition from December 2003 to January 2005. During his tenure, he led the party to defeat at the 2004 federal election. Latham left the Australian Labor Party in 2017 and joined Pauline Hanson's One Nation in 2018. He gained a seat in the New South Wales Legislative Council for One Nation at the 2019 New South Wales state election. He was re-elected in 2023 but left the party a few months later. He continues to work as a media commentator.
