Mikki Kendall is an author, activist, and cultural critic born in Chicago in 1976. Her writing and commentary engage with current events, media representation, the politics of food, and the history of the feminist movement. Kendall's published works include the graphic novel Amazons, Abolitionists, and Activists, released by Penguin Random House in 2019, and the political nonfiction book Hood Feminism, published in early 2020.
