Richard Watson is an English author, lecturer and futurist. He is best known for his 2007 book Future Files: a Brief History of The Next 50 Years, which examines developments expected over a fifty-year period. Watson has also gained recognition for his infographics work, particularly his Trends & Technology Timeline 2010-2050 and his Table of Disruptive Technologies, which visualize patterns of technological change and innovation.
