William J. Palmer is an American professor of English who has written fiction across multiple genres. He is best known for the "Mr. Dickens" series, a collection of Victorian murder mysteries. Palmer is also the author of "The Wabash Trilogy" (2010), three novels published under one cover. The trilogy consists of "The Wabash Baseball Blues," a sports novel centered on industrial softball; "The Red Neck Mafia," a crime novel; and "Civic Theater," a comic backstage novel. All three novels in the trilogy are set in the Wabash river valley of Indiana.
