Aster(ix) journal reaches its tenth year as a creative laboratory for women writers of color. This anniversary collection gathers the best poetry and nonfiction from a decade of experimentation and play. The journal provides space for writers to test boundaries and explore new forms. Contributors use the platform to develop their voices without constraints. The issue showcases how women of color have pushed literary boundaries through verse and essay. Aster(ix) will release a companion volume in fall 2023 featuring fiction and interviews. Together these volumes document ten years of creative risk-taking and artistic growth.
