Lilith works as an Assistant Loan Underwriter at Dollarwise Investments in Brooklyn. She processes loans by day while carrying memories of Saga of the Sorceress, the video game she helped create as a teenager in 1998. Eighteen years have passed since she, Sash, and Abraxa formed Invocation LLC to build their ambitious project. The game exists only on scattered hard drives now. Sash lives in Brooklyn too, splitting time between research work and webcam domination sessions. She doesn't know Lilith is nearby. Across the Hudson River, Abraxa sleeps on a friend's grandparents' floor in Jersey City. None of the three creators have met face to face. They lost contact years ago, yet each remembers the sorceress and her unfinished quest. The code they wrote as teens becomes the code they need to survive as adults. Their virtual world holds keys to reconnection.
