Afraid Of The Dark

by James Grippando

First published 2011

Miami defense attorney Jack Swyteck takes on his most perilous case when he agrees to represent Jamal, a man facing execution for terrorist crimes. Jamal insists he was imprisoned in a Prague black site when his ex-girlfriend McKenna was murdered. The killing also cost Sergeant Vince Paulo his eyesight in the blast that followed. Jack's fiancée Andie Henning, working undercover for the FBI, warns him to abandon the case. Jack ignores her advice and believes Jamal's alibi. If Jamal tells the truth, McKenna's real killer walks free. New corpses start appearing as figures from the past emerge alive. A mysterious enemy called "the Dark" sends death threats. Jack and Vince must face lethal forces that stretch far beyond one woman's murder. Their search for answers takes them from London's shadowy streets to forbidden corners of the internet, forcing them to confront absolute evil.
