Eugene "Geno" Miles spends his final days in a nursing home, cantankerous and isolated. His new nursing assistant Angel dismisses his wild stories about living multiple lifetimes spanning a thousand years. Geno insists his first life began in medieval Spain as a petty thief who discovered true love, only to lose it and spend centuries searching for it again. Angel remains doubtful of these elaborate tales from the elderly man. She wonders if Geno simply clings to elaborate fantasies to escape his lonely reality, or if something more extraordinary explains his detailed memories of past lives. As Angel learns more about Geno's claims, she begins to question what she believes possible. The truth about Geno's identity slowly emerges, revealing whether he is a delusional old man or something far more unusual. His search for lost love drives the story toward a revelation about connection and recognition that spans lifetimes.
