Perry Cook knows no other home than the Blue River Coed Correctional Facility in Surprise, Nebraska. For eleven years, he has lived there with his mother, an inmate in Cell Block C. Warden Daugherty has always allowed this unusual arrangement to continue. Everything changes when a new district attorney learns about Perry's situation.
