Walt Stebbins runs a mail-order business in Orange, California. One day he receives a strange package containing a glass jar with a preserved bluebird inside. The delivery marks the beginning of disturbing events across town. Someone climbs St Anthony's Church tower at night, compelled to stop the bells from ringing.
