Elizabeth Bennet wanders too far from the village during a visit to Derbyshire with her aunt and uncle. Lost in thought while exploring the countryside, she fails to notice gathering storm clouds. Fitzwilliam Darcy discovers the injured young woman on his estate grounds while racing home from London. He brings her to Pemberley where his staff tends to her wounds. When Elizabeth awakens, she remembers nothing of her identity or past life. During her recovery, she grows close to Darcy and his melancholy mother, Lady Anne. The Darcys create a new identity for her protection from scandal, calling her Miss Elizabeth Chamberlayne, a distant cousin. Darcy accepts his friend Bingley's invitation to Netherfield Park, bringing the ladies with him. Elizabeth will soon encounter her own family, who believe her lost. The question remains whether proximity to her loved ones will restore her memories or leave her forever changed.
