Part of Aunt Dimity Mystery
First published 1997
Lori Shepherd believed Aunt Dimity lived only in childhood bedtime tales. Then the law firm Willis & Willis calls her to a will reading. The struggling woman discovers she stands to inherit a substantial estate, but only if she solves a puzzle hidden within letters stored at Dimity's English cottage. Lori travels to the countryside expecting a simple treasure hunt. Instead, she encounters something far stranger. Dimity's spirit begins guiding her through the mystery, transforming what seemed like good fortune into a supernatural quest. The letters hold secrets about love that transcended death itself. As Lori pieces together the clues, she learns that some bonds survive beyond the grave. Her investigation becomes a journey of discovery about the power of connection between souls.
