Jake Rivers stands in his cluttered London flat, holding a guitar that once belonged to his father. The instrument carries decades of blues history, but Jake can barely play three chords. When his father's former bandmate arrives with stories about lost recordings and buried secrets from the 1960s music scene, Jake finds himself pulled into a world he never understood. He must choose between the safe accountant's life he has built and a journey through smoky clubs and forgotten studios. The path leads him across England and into Mississippi delta country, where music and family history intertwine. Jake discovers that some melodies refuse to stay buried, and that finding your voice sometimes means losing everything else you thought mattered.
