Renata Fechter stares at the reports scattered across her desk. Four entire trains loaded with ammunition have vanished without a trace. The cargo disappeared somewhere in the dense forests that stretch between Germany and Russia. As an environmental police officer, Fechter knows these woods hold secrets, but nothing like this. She grabs her gear and heads into the wilderness to begin tracking the missing weapons. The forest seems peaceful enough, but Fechter soon discovers she is not alone in her search. Multiple groups are converging on the same area, each with their own reasons for wanting to find those trains first. Some claim to be helping, others make no pretense about their intentions. Fechter must navigate through competing interests and hidden agendas while following a trail that grows more dangerous with each step deeper into the woods. The ammunition could destabilize entire regions if it falls into the wrong hands.
