Cieli di Popcorn

by Veronica Rossi

First published 2013

On a summer night, two teenagers meet and part with promises to reunite soon. Instead, their paths diverge toward separate realities in distant places. Chance keeps throwing them together across different skies around the world. For a decade, they share their troubles and mix their adventures together. Each thinks of the other as life's greatest opportunity. Both search for something constantly, restless and incomplete when apart. They can only find the peace they need when they're together. Their shared goal becomes recovering their popcorn sky, that perfect moment of serenity they discovered in each other's company. The story follows their intermittent encounters as coincidence repeatedly brings them back into each other's orbits, despite the different directions their lives have taken them.
