Seth Oreamundo sits in his Washington DC exile, plotting revenge against his younger brother Osario. Once a ruthless politician in Costa Rica, Seth lost everything when Osario betrayed him in a scandalous double cross that exposed their family's dark secrets. The brothers grew up on a coffee estate, born into a corrupt political dynasty that seemed to promise them both greatness. Now Seth has decided on the perfect punishment for his brother's treachery. He will return to Costa Rica and throw Osario into the crocodile-infested river from their childhood. As Seth plans his murderous homecoming, memories surface of their shared upbringing and the events that tore their family apart. The story moves between Seth's present-day schemes and the brothers' past, revealing how sibling rivalry and family corruption destroyed both their lives and changed their country forever.
