Darrow wages an outlaw campaign on Mercury, abandoned by the Republic he created after a decade of revolution against the color-coded Society. He pursues Eo's dream through violence and destruction, but questions plague him about whether he remains the hero who shattered the chains. Lysander au Lune returns from exile to the Core, seeking to restore peace through his blade. He must navigate the scheming Gold families and confront Darrow above Mercury's battlefields. On Luna, Mustang rules as Sovereign while political and criminal forces threaten her power and her husband's life. Young Lyria faces treason charges and flees with unexpected companions. Pax and Electra, children of Darrow and Sevro, find themselves kidnapped by a new enemy threatening the Republic. Their rescue depends on Ephraim, a thief seeking his own redemption. Alliances crumble and reform as each player risks everything in a struggle that could transform the Rising into darkness.
