Lindy Carmichael returns to Wenatchee, Washington for Christmas carrying fresh wounds. Her boyfriend has betrayed her with her best friend, and her graphic design career feels stagnant and uninspiring. Even the familiar comforts of carolers and Christmas cookies fail to lift her spirits. Her mother Ellen suggests they revisit an old family tradition: reading through Lindy's childhood letters to Santa. As Lindy rediscovers her younger self's hopes and dreams, Ellen encourages her to write a new letter to Santa, one that might restore her faith and wonder. Lindy agrees, not expecting much from this simple act of nostalgia. But her heartfelt wishes begin manifesting in unexpected ways. Christmas magic works through chance encounters and surprising connections, including a reunion with an attractive former classmate. Through these serendipitous events, Lindy discovers that home holds more possibilities than she remembered, and that the holiday season can still deliver genuine miracles to those willing to believe.
