Billy the Kid is a French bulldog with a gift for music. He loves to bark along with country songs, keeping perfect time with every beat. When Billy decides to pursue his musical dreams, he travels to Nashville with hopes of becoming a country star. At the Battle of the Bow-wows competition, Billy encounters aggressive bullies who shake his confidence. He begins to doubt whether he belongs in the music world at all. With help from new friends he meets along the way, Billy must find the courage to stand up for himself. He draws strength from his favorite songs, including "Jowlene" and "I Will Pawlways Love You." A beloved country music star also plays a key role in helping Billy believe in himself again. The young dog learns that bullies cannot define his worth or limit his potential.
