El seductor

by Alice Clayton

First published 2014

Caroline has just relocated to San Francisco with her cat Clive. She works as an interior designer and rents an apartment with paper-thin walls. Her peculiar neighbor Simon keeps her awake night after night with his loud sexual encounters. Caroline calls him the womanizer as she listens to his bed banging against their shared wall and the ecstatic screams of his companions. The situation only reminds her of her own dry spell. After one particularly noisy session, Caroline decides to confront him. She knocks on his door and finds Simon wearing only a white sheet around his waist. She discovers him delicious and irresistible. Soon fantasies about this mysterious stallion keep her awake instead of his actual noise. Caroline and Simon meet again at a party where they can finally talk normally. He turns out to be quite charming, nothing like the gigolo she had imagined. They might even become good friends, or perhaps something more.
