Franklin and Luna and the Book of Fairy Tales

by Jen Campbell

Part of Franklin and Luna

First published 2019

Franklin's birthday should be perfect. Luna has organized a surprise party with all the villagers while she takes Franklin book shopping. But Neil the tortoise discovers a locked fairy tale book and picks the lock. When he opens it, the book swallows him completely. Franklin and Luna leap into the pages to save their friend and land in a cobwebbed forest filled with fairy tale characters trapped for centuries. They meet three pig architects, a wolf who embraces New Age philosophy, and a princess dying of boredom. These dusty characters desperately want to escape into the real world. They join Franklin and Luna in searching for Neil, learning that the only way out requires traveling through the entire book. Franklin and Luna must find Neil and return home before the birthday party ends.
