From the Files of the Time Rangers

by Richard Bowes

First published 2017

Timothy Macauley must become president of the United States or humanity faces extinction. The Time Rangers, servants of Apollo, guard the Time Stream that connects different worlds and eras. Their mission is protecting Macauley at all costs. But other Greek gods have their own plans. Mercury works through public relations firms, spinning narratives to his advantage. Diana patrols New York streets as an NYPD detective, hunting targets with divine precision. Pluto trains his replacement in the underworld while Dionysus has already destroyed one alternate reality. The Rangers battle these divine forces across decades, from the 1950s to today, jumping between worlds where history took different turns. Each god plays a complex game, using human institutions as their chess pieces. Macauley remains unaware that immortal beings are fighting over his political future. The fate of every timeline hangs on whether Apollo's chosen agents can outmaneuver their fellow deities and deliver their candidate to the White House.
