Funland

by Richard Laymon

First published 1989

The carousel music stops when the sun goes down at Funland Amusement Park. That's when the Trolls emerge from the shadows to hunt. This savage gang stalks anyone unlucky enough to wander the midway alone after closing time. Local residents whisper about the missing people who ventured into the park and never returned. A group of determined teenagers decides they've had enough. They plan to take on the Trolls and reclaim their neighborhood from fear. But the painted facades and carnival games hide secrets darker than anyone imagines. Something worse than the Trolls lurks behind the funhouse mirrors and beneath the roller coaster tracks. The real horror at Funland makes the freak show look tame by comparison.
