Eleven-year-old Emily is not happy when her beloved grandfather remarries. Her new step-grandmother, Marjorie, is pushy, rude, and threatens to come between Emily and her grandfather. Desperate to keep her special bond, Emily hatches a series of clever, mischievous plots to make Marjorie's life miserable and send her packing. But as Emily's antics escalate, she begins to question whether her actions are justified, or if she's gone too far. In the end, Emily must decide how far she's willing to go to protect the family she loves.
