Hell Divers

Part of Hell Divers, book 1

First published 2016

Xavier Rodriguez straps on his diving gear as electrical storms batter the airship Hive. Two hundred years after World War III turned Earth into a wasteland, humanity survives aboard aging vessels that circle the poisoned planet. Most ships have already crashed. Only two remain airborne, kept alive by Hell Divers who parachute to the surface and scavenge critical parts. When storm damage cripples one airship, Rodriguez leads his team into Hades, a particularly dangerous zone below. The divers expect radiation, toxic air, and the usual mutated beasts they've encountered on previous missions. Instead they discover something far more threatening lurking in the ruins. As his team fights to complete their salvage mission, Rodriguez realizes that humanity's precarious existence in the sky faces a new kind of extinction. The future depends on whether the Hell Divers can survive what waits in the darkness below and return with what their people need to keep flying.
