Rafe Khatchadorian arrives at what he thinks will be a fun summer camp, only to discover he's been enrolled in summer school. His dreams of an easy vacation quickly disappear. He settles into cabin life with a group of troublemaking boys and meets his bunkmate, a kid the others call Booger-Eater. The other campers constantly tease this boy because of his unfortunate nickname. Rafe watches the bullying and initially goes along with the group dynamic. He realizes that judging someone by their nickname tells you nothing about who they really are. Through pranks, mishaps, and camp adventures, Rafe learns important lessons about friendship and standing up for others. The summer becomes a journey of personal growth wrapped in the chaos and humor of camp life.
