Valerie Martin notices something strange happening at school. Every student in her sixth-grade class has signed up for the same after-school club. When Val asks her friends about it, they give her blank stares. None of them can recall what happens during club meetings or even what the club does. Val decides to dig deeper into this mystery. She watches her classmates for clues and tries to piece together what could make an entire group of kids forget their activities. The more she investigates, the more worried she becomes. Her friends act different after their club meetings, almost like they're not themselves anymore. Val realizes she's stumbled onto something dangerous. If she keeps pushing for answers, she might end up just like her classmates. She could lose her memories too, or worse, lose her mind completely.
