Part of Wildcat Hockey
First published 2023
The first time Ash Kelly skated into her life, he pulled off his jersey for a kid in the crowd, fired a puck her way, and asked for her number. She was standing next to her boyfriend. She said no. The second time, he turns up as her patient, sidelined with an injury, and somehow he remembers her. Nursing Ash back to health is its own kind of problem. He is stubborn and relentless, and he has charmed what feels like the entire hospital staff into backing his campaign to win her over. She has sworn off dating, and a cocky pro athlete is exactly the wrong direction. They part ways again. Then the universe refuses to cooperate. When she finally decides Ash is worth the risk, her ex reappears with a new title: assistant GM of the Wildcats. He wants her back, and he wants Ash destroyed. She has to choose between the wall she built and the man who has been quietly, persistently dismantling it. This standalone fourth entry in the Wildcat Hockey series delivers sharp banter, genuine warmth, and a hard-earned happy ending.
