Beth Lambert thought her days with the Pretty Pennies were over. The club voted her out of the presidency and sent her into exile at Mama Regina's house in Walnut Ridge. She started the Irritated Oysters Club and made new friends, but Pocahontas, Arkansas still felt like home. Now the Pretty Pennies want her back. Bonnie turned out to be a disaster as president, creating endless rules and draining all the joy from their activities. Beth faces new problems when she returns. Philip Hall continues spending his time with Ginny instead of her. Someone stole Baby Beth, her brother's prized singing piglet, right before the county fair competition. Beth must solve the mystery of the missing pig and find a way to win back Philip Hall's attention. Her return to Pocahontas becomes a test of whether she can reclaim her place in the community and get what she wants most.
