Jessi Ramsey faces a crisis when the Baby-sitters Club loses two members at once. Dawn has moved back to California, and Mallory stays home with illness. The remaining club members decide they must find someone new to fill the gap. They recruit a girl who seems like the perfect candidate. She appears eager to join and claims she loves working with children. But as the new member starts taking jobs, troubling signs emerge.
