John Dies at the End

by David Wong

First published 2007

David Wong discovers he has made a terrible mistake. He and his best friend John have encountered Soy Sauce, a drug that opens windows into other dimensions. The substance forces users into contact with entities like Korrok and reveals an approaching invasion that threatens the future of humanity. David never chose to take the drug, and neither did John. Now they find themselves trapped in a game they cannot escape, watched by forces beyond normal perception. The only protection against what is coming requires complete knowledge of these events. David must document everything that happened, including the most disturbing incidents, because others need to understand the dark epoch about to begin. He insists that none of the catastrophic events were his responsibility, but the warning he provides may be the only defense against the otherworldly threat approaching Earth.
