Matthew Bannon discovers a bag of diamonds amid the chaos at Grand Central Station. The struggling art student sees his chance to escape poverty and build a future with his girlfriend Katherine in New York City. But the diamonds belong to someone dangerous. The Ghost, a legendary assassin, has just murdered Walter Zelvas of the international Diamond Syndicate to steal those very gems. When the Ghost realizes the diamonds have vanished, he begins tracking Bannon across the city. Meanwhile, a competing killer wants to eliminate the Ghost permanently, turning Bannon into the center of a deadly triangle. Three people hunt each other through New York's streets, each with everything to lose. Bannon must stay alive long enough to figure out how to keep both the diamonds and Katherine safe from forces far more ruthless than he ever imagined.
