Kiss the Girls and Make Them Cry

by Mary Higgins Clark

First published 2019

Investigative journalist Gina Kane receives an email from CRyan, a woman describing her terrible experience at REL television network. The message hints that other women suffered similar treatment. When Ryan stops responding, Gina learns the young woman died in a Jet Ski accident while on vacation. At REL, corporate counsel Michael Carter sees opportunity in crisis. Female employees have accused company executives of sexual misconduct. Carter proposes a deal to the CEO: he will convince the victims to accept money and stay quiet. The scheme could make Carter wealthy if he succeeds. As REL prepares for its public stock offering, Carter works to bury the scandal while Gina digs deeper into the truth. Ryan's death looked accidental, but Gina suspects otherwise. When a second accuser dies under suspicious circumstances, Gina realizes powerful people will kill to protect their secrets. She must expose the conspiracy before more women pay the ultimate price for speaking out.
