Katherine, Chip, Jonah, and Alex find themselves transported to England in 1483, searching for their true origins. Alex and Chip make a shocking discovery: they are actually Richard of Shrewsbury and Edward V, sons of King Edward IV. Their uncle, the Duke of Gloucester, schemes to eliminate the two young princes and seize the throne for himself. The teens watch helplessly as their murderous uncle attempts to kill Alex and Chip, then crowns himself as Richard III. Jonah and Katherine desperately want to intervene and save their friends, but they face an impossible dilemma. Any action they take could alter the course of history itself. The four modern adolescents must find a way to escape this deadly medieval conspiracy and return to their safe twenty-first century lives as ordinary middle school students, all while preserving the timeline they know.
