Jack Montfort works alone one evening when something impossible happens. His hand begins writing Latin phrases without his control, forming words in handwriting that isn't his own. The young widower lives in Glastonbury, a small town built beneath the mysterious Tor hill, where ancient druids once held power and esoteric cults still gather. The town houses an old abbey where legend claims King Arthur and Guinevere lie buried. Jack cannot explain who sends these strange messages or why they come through him. Desperate for help, Jack contacts his cousin Duncan Kincaid, a Scotland Yard commissioner. Kincaid arrives with his partner Gemma James to investigate the crimes. They must navigate between religious ritual and magical practices to solve the case. The investigation pulls them deeper into Glastonbury's layers of ancient mystery and modern danger.
