Mina Mendoza writes dark romance novels and spends her free time cataloguing everything about Leo Duval: his tattoos, his house, his aunt's vacation habits. He has no idea she exists. Then, at midnight, she sends him a message telling him he inspired her latest hero. She hits send before she thinks it through. Leo screenshots it. The message lands in a drunken group chat, and suddenly the carefully maintained distance between fan and subject collapses. What Mina does not expect is that Leo turns out to be very good at research too. He finds the password to her phone. He learns that her roommate forgets to lock the front door. He figures out that she sleeps deeply enough that someone could walk right past her. Mina started this as the watcher. Now she is not so sure that role still belongs to her. Midnight Message is a dark, obsessive, push-and-pull romance about two people who each know far too much about the other, and what happens when the stalker becomes the stalked.
