Morts en coulisses

by Mary Jane Clark

Caroline arrives in Warrenstown, Massachusetts to cover the summer theater festival for Key News. She hopes the assignment will help her bond with Meg, her stepdaughter who still resents her father's remarriage. The festival takes a dark turn when two students die suddenly and a librarian is murdered. Then Oscar-winning actress Belinda Winthrop disappears without a trace. Caroline faces no shortage of suspects. Belinda's young understudy stands to gain the starring role. The estate manager controls access to the property. A lovesick painter lives on Belinda's grounds. Most troubling of all, Caroline's own husband once had an affair with the missing actress. With her job at Key News in jeopardy, Caroline must solve the case herself. The investigation becomes personal when the killer targets Meg, forcing Caroline to race against time to save her stepdaughter.
