Murder in the Courthouse

by Nancy Grace

First published 2016

Hailey Dean flies to Savannah to testify as an expert witness in the Julie Love-Adams murder trial. The prosecutor has never lost a case, but she never expected to land in the middle of another killing spree. At the airport, she reunites with her former partner, crime investigator Garland Fincher. They rush to a fresh crime scene after hearing a police bulletin. They discover Alton Turner, a meticulous courthouse sheriff, cut in half by a garage door and lying in a pool of blood. Hailey cannot resist diving into Turner's murder investigation while preparing for the Love-Adams trial. More courthouse employees start dying one by one. The timing seems too convenient for coincidence. Lt. Billings develops romantic feelings for Hailey as she hunts for a killer with unknown motives. The danger escalates when it becomes clear that Hailey herself may be the next target on the murderer's list.
