First published 2020
The magic tree house transports Jack and Annie to the icy shores of Greenland. They arrive uncertain about when they have landed, but their mission becomes clear immediately: they must rescue a narwhal in danger. The siblings encounter a young hunter who introduces himself as Leif Erikson. Jack and Annie ask Leif to help them save the trapped whale, but the future explorer has different plans in mind. The children must find a way to convince Leif to abandon his hunting intentions and join their rescue effort instead. Their adventure tests their ability to bridge different perspectives about the natural world while racing against time to save the narwhal's life.
