Gustavo Santos Costa worries about everything at Yellowstone National Park. Bison can run three times faster than people. Tourists stand too close to boiling springs. His nightmares have gotten worse since his family moved here for his mom's job. Then something impossible happens. Gus encounters his classmate Kordell inside his dreams. Gus tries to avoid sleep and the bad dreams that come with it. Kordell uses dreams to escape his difficult real life. But dreams stop being enough for Kordell. The connection between the boys means Gus might be the only person who can help his classmate. Most problems already feel too big for Gus to handle. He must find the courage to support his friend when Kordell needs him most. Both boys must face their fears and confront what haunts them in sleep and waking life.
